The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs intends to host a humanitarian conference on the situation in Libya, on 20-21 October.
The technical meeting organized by Italy's Foreign Ministry, in cooperation with the Directorate General of Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection of the European Commission, will focus in particular on the coordination of humanitarian assistance to be sent to Libya, according to the Italian "Nova" news agency.
The Italian Agency for Development Cooperation has been working in Libya through bilateral projects; most notably the Solidarity Bridge Initiative, launched in January last year to help cities affected by the phenomenon of migration.
