The Italian Foreign Minister's special envoy to Libya, Nicola Orlando, kicked off his consultations in Tripoli on Wednesday, meeting with the head of the High Council of State (HCS), Khaled Al-Mashri, in the presence of the Italian ambassador, Giuseppe Buccino, the Italian embassy tweeted.

“I expressed encouragement in view of the third round of talks in Cairo to establish a constitutional framework to go to elections as soon as possible and reiterated Italy’s commitment to Libya’s unity, stability and sovereignty”, Orlando tweeted.

In the meantime, the French Special Envoy to Libya, Paul Soler began meetings in Tripoli, with the head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, accompanied by the French Ambassador to Libya, Beatrice de Helen, according to the media office of the Presidential Council.
