The Italian government announced, on Friday, the allocation of three million euros in order to ensure the implementation of exceptional and urgent interventions to support rescue operations and help the victims of the accident of the explosion of a fuel tanker in southern Libya.

The initiative came at the proposal of the Prime Minister, Mario Draghi, and includes activating the Remote Centre for Health Rescue Operations (Cross) to detect available beds at the national level, and developing an appropriate organizational plan for the national health system to transport the injured to Italy, according to the AKI Italian news agency.
