The Italian Embassy in Libya said Sunday it had handed over a new batch of humanitarian equipment under the "Solidarity Bridge Program" which targets the municipalities most affected by illegal immigration.

"In cooperation with the Libyan Government, an additional medical equipment worth 250 thousand euros was provided to the hospitals of Zuwara and Sorman," the embassy tweeted.

The latest batch of aid provided by Italy under "The Solidarity Bridge Program" included medical equipment for Al-Garabulli General Hospital, about a week ago.
