Turkey's special envoy to Libya, Emrullah Isler has said that the victory achieved by the nationally recognized government in Tripoli (GNA) is a major step towards a strong, democratic, and civilized Libyan state.
Tweeting on Friday, Isler said the policy pursued by Turkey in Libya had borne fruit, while the historical resistance of the Libyan people against Haftar has protected Tripoli from any security risks in the future.
"The recent victories of the GNA had caused dissension in the ranks of Haftar and plans of his foreign allies have been thwarted," Isler added, emphasizing that Libya is close to a comprehensive political solution to re-establish a state on civil and democratic grounds.
