A team from the Libyan Red Crescent, Misrata branch, recovered decomposed bodies buried in a school in Sirte, which was damaged by the war on ISIS last year.

Fawzi Al-Fitouri, head of the Red Crescent team in Misrata, said the bodies had been recovered from the yard of a school after receiving information from the Joint Security Operations Unit on the presence of the bodies, likely to have been members of ISIS.

“One of the bodies was found with an explosive belt still strapped around him, stressing that the body was handled with caution”. Al-Fitouri said.
