The Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fouad Hussein, has confirmed his country’s desire to reopen the Iraqi embassy in Libya with a view to initiating political and diplomatic work in a way which serves the interests of both countries, along with providing services and consular work to Iraqi citizens residing in Libya.

This came during a meeting between the Libyan Foreign Minister, Najla Al-Manqoush and Hussein on the side-lines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.

During the meeting, Al-Manqoush reviewed the present situation in Libya, along with methods of return to normal civilian life in the present atmosphere, expressing Libya’s readiness to facilitate the return of the Iraqi embassy in Tripoli in order to overcome difficulties in this regard
