The International Organization for Migration (IOM) said that around 160 migrants, including 15 children and 12 women, have been able to return to their homeland Mali via Misrata airport, in cooperation with the Italian Foreign Ministry.

The IOM clarified via Facebook that the migrants came from the shelters of Tripoli, Zliten, and Misrata, pointing out that they were provided with food and in-kind assistance before their departure, and have received medical aid after their arrival in Mali.

The IOM stressed that their teams are on the ground and will continue efforts to ensure that necessary assistance reaches all who are in need.
