Director of the Information Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Presidential Council Ahmed Al-Arbad said that the International Organization for Migration (IOM) has opened tenders for the rehabilitation of schools and public parks that were destroyed by war in Benghazi

In a statement to the Russian News Agency Sputnik, Al-Arbad clarified that the IOM held last Monday a meeting to open tenders for the re-establishment of Benghazi Secondary School for boys and the Teacher's Public Park, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the Municipality of Benghazi, pointing out that this will allow the return of displaced persons in the area to their homes.

The secondary boys' school in Sidi Akhribesh has been home for internally displaced persons since 2014.

More than 1,000 students were forced to look for other schools in neighbouring cities.
