The International Organization for Migration (IOM) said that nearly 60 thousand people have been displaced since the outbreak of clashes in the suburbs of Tripoli in early April.

Tripoli received more than 13,000 displaced people, followed by Tajoura which hosted more than 7,000, while 10,500 were distributed in Garabulli, Zliten, and Bani Walid, according to IOM.

The southern suburbs of Tripoli continued to witness armed clashes between the Libyan army forces and militias of war criminal Khalifa Haftar, killing hundreds of civilians and leaving thousands more wounded.
