The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has announced the return of more than 150 Bangladeshi nationals in Libya to their country under the Voluntary Humanitarian Return Program.

The organization said that among the returnees were the wounded, survivors of failed sea crossings to Europe and former detainees.

"The plane, carrying 152 migrants, left Misurata Airport on Wednesday, for Dhaka, where they were received by IOM staff in Bangladesh," IOM clarified, confirming the cooperation of the Libyan authorities in facilitating the safe return of these migrants.
