The Ministry of Interior said that the Office of Human Rights Affairs, recently created by the ministry, will provide protection to citizens, and will be a legal guarantee of their rights.
The ministry confirmed, through its Facebook page, Sunday, that the office will carry out training programs and awareness for police personnel to qualify them in terms of the legal codes of behaviour and the rules of fair trial.
The Ministry added that the office would enable its members to provide legal guarantees to persons when they were arrested, searched and detained; to preserve and protect their dignity and preserve their rights, within the framework of the application of laws and respect for the principles of human rights.
