The Ministry of Interior has announced a new operation with the code name the "Safe Country" aimed to establish security and stability in the newly liberated areas.
In a statement on Friday, the ministry said that the new operation will target at its first stage the regions liberated recently from the grip of Haftar's militias, as its mission is to protect citizens and property in these areas and hunt down those wanted for criminal acts.
It underscored that it will serve as a line of defence to secure the victories achieved by the Libyan army forces and to ensure proper application of law and the safety of citizens.
