Interior Minister Fathi Pashagha issued a decree on Sunday to replace the colour of taxis from black and white to yellow and to include a white circle on the front doors containing the registration number and the route of the taxi.
The new resolution also demands taxi drivers to install a taxi logo on top of their vehicles in Arabic and English and to display the vehicle number in a conspicuous place, as well as equipping their vehicles with safety equipment.
