The Ministry of Interior held an expanded security meeting, headed by the Assistant Undersecretary for Security Affairs, Brigadier General Muhammad Al-Madaghi, to draft a plan to secure the February Revolution anniversary celebrations.

A statement by the Interior Ministry said that the meeting, which was attended by several heads and representatives of security agencies and departments in Tripoli, comes in connection with preparations for the celebrations set to take place in the coming few days to mark the 10th anniversary of the 17th February Revolution.

The meeting dealt with a mechanism for implementing a joint plan to ensure a safe event with no security breaches, the Ministry of Interior explained.

In a few days, Libyans commemorate the 10th anniversary of their revolution, in which they were forced to bear arms in defense of themselves and their cities against one of the most authoritarian and corrupt regimes in the world.
