The head of General Department for the Protection of Diplomatic Missions, General Brigadier Wissam bin Jameh, on Sunday met with the embassies security adviser at the British Foreign Office and the security adviser at the UK Embassy in Libya.
The Ministry of Interior said in a statement that the meeting held in Tripoli discussed several issues related to the protection of embassies and diplomatic headquarters.
The British delegation expressed appreciation to the department for its efforts to ensure the functioning of the diplomatic missions and embassies in a secure environment.
The meeting was attended by a delegate from the Department of International Relations and Cooperation at the Interior Ministry and the head of the Relations Office at the Diplomatic Security Department.
