Minister of Interior, Fathi Pashagha has emphasized the need to pay attention to and protect all tourist and archaeological sites inside and outside the capital Tripoli, in an aim to stop the smuggling of antiquities, which represents a threat to the national security of the country.

Pashagha reviewed during his meeting with the head of the Tourist Police and Antiquities Protection, Al-Mabrouk Al-Zaidi at the ministry's HQ in Tripoli, the mechanism of the police's work and how to provide solutions to the challenges faced by the tourist police, according to the Information Office of the Libyan Interior Ministry.
