Around 450 people were killed in traffic accidents across Libya in the third quarter of 2019, the Interior Ministry confirmed Monday.

The statistics released by the ministry based on information gathered from security directorates across Libya show that traffic accidents during the months of July, August and September amounted to 462 accidents.

Around 277 of them are rated as critical accidents and resulted in the injury of 551 people, while the number of minor accidents amounted to 185 incidents, causing the injury of 439 people, according to the ministry.
