The Interior Minister of the Presidential Council Abdul Salam Ashour approved on Wednesday the ceasefire agreement signed between representatives of Tripoli and Tarhuna.
The agreement stipulates that a joint force of the Ministry of Interior will be formed with the participation of officers and non-commissioned officers from the western region, in addition to the existing institutions in coordination with the commander of the military area of Tripoli to secure the south of Tripoli from the area of Salah al-Din to Qasr bin Ghashir.
The ministry pointed out that the representatives of the reconciliation process from both sides will accompany the force tasked to oversee the withdrawal of conflict troops from areas of clashes.
