The Interior Minister, Abdul Salam Ashour, has met with the French Ambassador to Libya, Brigitte Curmi, at the ministry's headquarters in Tripoli.

The ministry’s Information Office said Ashour reviewed with Curmi the security situation in Tripoli, and called on all embassies to return and resume their work in the capital.

Ashour also discussed the illegal immigration and the security problems it caused to neighboring and Mediterranean countries.

For her part, Curmi expressed her country's desire to consolidate relations between the two countries, especially in the areas of security.
