The Ministry of Interior held a ceremony Tuesday in Tripoli on the occasion of opening Libyan passport-issuing stations in embassies and consulates abroad.

Minister of Interior, Fathi Bashagha chaired a meeting on the sidelines of the occasion to discuss the mechanism for activating the passport-issuing system in about 22 countries around the world, according to the ministry's information office.

Bashagha emphasized the need to facilitate procedures for obtaining Libyan passports abroad and to protect their rights, calling on Libyan embassies to assist nationals in addressing their problems.
