Interior Minister, Fathi Bashagha discussed with Italian Ambassador to Libya, Giuseppe Boccino the current security situation in Libya.

"The meeting was held Tuesday at the ministry's HQ in Tripoli, to review the latest security conditions on the ground and the current armed clashes in southern Tripoli, in addition to a number of topics of common concern," the ministry said on Facebook.

Italy is one of the major states calling for a ceasefire and for re-activating the political process under the umbrella of the United Nations.
