Prosecutors in the Pre-Trial Chamber of the International Criminal Court (ICC) have rejected the appeal filed by Saif al-Islam al-Gaddafi's lawyers regarding the charges against their client.

In a document signed by Prosecutor Fatu Bensouda, the Court stated that Saif al-Islam was a fugitive from justice and is not in a position to have his appeal accepted.

In June, Saif al-Islam's lawyers applied to the ICC to challenge the charges against their client, explaining that Saif al-Islam was tried in Libya and therefore his trial again before the ICC will be in conflict with the human rights and international law.
