Libya’s delegate to the United Nations in Geneva, Tamim Bayou, confirmed that the decision to form an international fact-finding committee in Libya was unanimously adopted in the council and supported by more than 90 countries worldwide.

Bayou explained in a press statement that obtaining the resolution by consensus, without the necessity to vote, is a strong indication of the support of the international community to Libya.

The Human Rights Council has adopted a draft resolution prepared by Libya, to condemn the war on Tripoli and send an unbiased international fact-finding mission to the country.
