Human Rights Solidarity (HRS) has denounced the growing anomaly of enforced disappearance of citizens in Libya in light of the present lack of security and failure by the authorities to put an end to these crimes.

The human rights group stated in a press release issued on the occasion of the ‘International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances’, which fell on Sunday August 30, that victims, allegedly being arrested in Libya, remain for months in isolation from the outside world, deprived of the most basic human rights, which amount to enforced disappearance.
