The Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) Aqila Saleh urged, in a letter addressed by the Director of the Office of the Presidency of HoR Awad Al-Fitouri to the Foreign Minister of Fathi Bashagha's government, Hafez Kaddour, to inform Libya’s ambassadors abroad not to recognize the decisions of the Government of National Unity (GNU) to appoint ambassadors overseas.
This step came following a request submitted by the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the HoR, Yousef Al-Aqouri, to Speaker Saleh regarding decisions to appoint Libyan ambassadors overseas, including MPs, by the GNU recently.
