Members of the House of Representatives (HoR) of the western region met informally on Tuesday in the municipality of Swani Bin Yadum, south of Tripoli, which is the first of its kind since the election of the HoR in 2014.

MP Ali Issawi said that the reasons for the meeting are to discuss the issues of dialogue and the stalemate in the political crisis experienced by the country, pointing out that their efforts are to bring different views closer together and emerge with a more unified position for parliament members of the western region.

It is worth noting that a large number of MPs, mostly from the western region, are boycotting parliament meetings in Tobruk for an extended period of time.
