Member of the House of Representatives (HoR), Mohammed Al-Abani, has criticized the dominance of personal and regional interests on the decisions and meetings of the HoR, and links of some of its members to the policies of foreign countries.

Al-Abani said in a statement posted on his official Facebook page that the administrative and financial corruption in the HoR has caused members to feel that the HoR has become a tool in the hands of its speaker, Aqila Saleh, and other beneficiaries of this corruption.

He said that he sees the elections as an exit to the crises experienced by the country in light of the failures by the House of Representatives, adding that the election of Mohammed Shukri, as the new governor of the Central Bank of Libya has increasingly complicated the situation, especially after the UN envoy to Libya Ghassan Salame, stated that this decision was supposed to be subject to the provisions of Article 15 of the Libyan Political Agreement.
