The member of the House of Representative (HoR) Ziyad Dghim admitted that they have deliberately obstructed the plan of the UN envoy to Libya Ghassan Salame and the UN-backed political agreement, as well as the draft referendum on the constitution, because of “the political groups who stand behind this process”.

In a press statement, Dghim clarified that the solution in Libya will only come after replacing the UN envoy Ghassan Salame and the head of the High Council of State Khaled al-Mishri.

He also stressed that they will not accept the outputs of the UN-backed National Conference unless approving Khalifa Haftar as head of the country, or else it will be null and void, according to him.
