Member of the House of Representatives (HoR), Izz al-Din Quireb, said that the parliament cancelled its meeting on Tuesday, for the second day in a row, due to the absence of representatives of the western region.

He clarified that only 35 of the MPs attended the meeting, referring that the presidency of the parliament was not present.

He pointed out that the HoR was scheduled to continue the discussion over the action plan submitted by the UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salama.

Several members of Parliament in the western region were prevented from landing at Tobruk Airport last week for what was described as "security reasons."
