The spokesman of the Tripoli-based House of Representatives (HoR), Asaad Al-Shirta has confirmed that the parliament is seeking to hold a full-quorum session to debate on granting confidence to the new national unity government and approve its work plan and budget.
The MPs are currently engaged in intensive contact with their fellow MPs boycotting the parliamentary sessions to convince them to join in and carry out their responsibilities, Al-Shirta said in a press statement.
"The HoR stresses the necessity to adhere to what was agreed upon in terms of government priorities, election dates, and the constitutional entitlement," the parliament spokesman added.
The Tripoli-based HoR has welcomed the outcomes of the Libyan political dialogue and "the spirit that characterized the vote", expressing satisfaction with the personalities that were chosen.
