The Libyan House of Representatives (HoR) announced in a statement on Sunday their refusal of any attacks on any Libyan woman, regardless of their opinion or political outlook.

Members of the parliament reiterated in a statement their full support for those women who have been forcibly displaced from their homes due to Haftar’s aggression on Tripoli.

They specifically mentioned Siham Sergiwa, a Libyan psychologist/elected member of parliament who was kidnapped from her home in Benghazi on July 17, 2019 directly after an interview in which she criticized the acts of Khalifa Haftar and those loyal to him.

They denounced all those involved in the kidnap and concealment of information regarding her case.
