The House of Representatives (HoR) adopted the amendments made by the High Council of State (HCS) in respect to the initiative to reshuffle the executive authority, with the addition of some observations, including the abolition of Article VIII of the additional provisions of the political agreement after its amendment.

Member of the HoR, Abdel Moneim Balkor, explained in a press statement that the HoR will include a paragraph that provides for granting the new Presidential Council a week to select a president from among its members.

In case the period was not sufficient, another week will be granted before returning to the first mechanism, whereby the HoR will select the president, adding that this applies to the prime minister's post as well.
