The President of the High National Electoral Commission (HNEC), Imad Al-Sayeh, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Executive Director of the European Center for Electoral Support, Fabio Bargiacchi, in order to promote democratic values and cooperation in the areas of electoral integrity and methods to reduce the possibility of electoral violence.
The MoU aims to strengthen the electoral administration based on the expertise and resources owned by both sides and invest them in developing capacities in the field of monitoring and media training against electoral violence, along with providing advisory and logistical support and developing information technologies and applications to support electoral awareness.
