The total number of monitors and media correspondents who have been accredited by the High National Elections Commission (HNEC) to cover the elections planned for next December has reached 1949, the commission confirmed Tuesday.
The external operations department of the HNEC noted that the door for accreditation of monitors and media is still open.
According to the commission's statement, the number of accredited local monitors reached 1,800, including 1337 men and 463 women, while the number of local media correspondents is about 147, including 135 men and 12 women journalists.
