The head of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), Emad Sayeh, announced that the HNEC is beginning to prepare for the polling day through the introduction of new methods to ensure the integrity of the election and its results.
He said that the HNEC had submitted proposals to the legislative authority to not repeat mistakes of previous elections, indicating that the referendum on the constitution as any other electoral process needs legislations and implementation procedures.
“The HNEC is in contact with all parties supporting and opposing the elections to ensure elections are held fairly.” He concluded.
