The head of the High National Election Commission (HNEC), Emad al-Sayeh discussed with the UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame, preparations for implementing the elections to be held during this year.
"The two sides discussed during their meeting on Thursday; technical details of the electoral benefits offered to the political parties, in connection with the United Nations plan," the UN mission stated on its website.
Al-Sayeh stressed that the commission is the only body entitled to determine the adequacy of the electoral environment for holding any elections, away from political positions, according to UN mission's website.
