The High National Electoral Commission (HNEC), Emad Al-Sayeh, on Tuesday, received the British Ambassador to Libya, Caroline Hurndall, and her accompanying delegation at his office in Tripoli.

Al-Sayeh reviewed with the British ambassador the commission's work in preparations for the elections and the next step following the voter registration stage.

They also considered the options in the Libyan political scene concerning the constitutional rule that will determine the general agenda of the HNEC.

Ambassador Hurndall affirmed her government's support for the planned elections for Libya, praising the efforts of the HNEC in the previous stages and its quest to present a professional model in the electoral field that achieves the highest internationally applicable standards.
