The Chairman of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), Imad Al-Sayeh discussed on Thursday with ambassadors of Congo, Burkina Faso, Sudan and Ghana, ways of cooperation in the electoral field between electoral administrations in the African Union countries.

During the meeting, they discussed the HNEC’s preparations for the elections scheduled to take place next December, in addition to the mechanisms of participation in international monitoring of the elections.

For their part, the ambassadors emphasized the importance of building strong relationships between African electoral institutions, and supporting the commission in consolidating the democratic path, given its reflection on the security and stability of Africa.
