Member of the High Council of State, Mansour Al-Hasadi, has called on the UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame, to visit the eastern city of Derna to assess the situation suffered by the people of the city.
Al-Hasadi said in a statement that he stressed the necessity of urgent intervention to alleviate the suffering experienced by the civilians, explaining that his invitation to the UN envoy came after the last briefing presented by Salame in the Security Council in which he referred to the siege of Derna.
