Minister of Health, Ali Al-Zanati, met on Tuesday with the representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Libya, Elizabeth Hoff to discuss cooperation in finding solutions to problems facing health facilities holding Cov-19 patients.

Al-Zanati briefed the WHO official on his ministry's strategy in facing the pandemic and identified priorities and needs on the ground.

For her part, Hoff expressed the organization's readiness to help health authorities in Libya in their battle against the coronavirus and vowed to provide pharmaceuticals and medical requisites.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to set up three oxygen plants in coordination with the Italian side and to develop a strategy for improving the health system, with a focus on child health and mental illness.
