The head of the UNSMIL, Ghassan Salame, received on Saturday at the mission's HQ in Tripoli the Mayor of Zawiya Gamal Abdul Nasser Bahr and the council member Mukhtar al-Mariol.
The meeting addressed the situation in the oil refinery of Zawiya and supporting developmental projects in the city.
The National Oil Corporation (NOC) demanded on October 14, an urgent security solution to the Zawiya refinery, warning that work at the refinery could be suspended if security conditions continued to deteriorate.
