The Head of the High Council of State (HCS) Khaled Al-Mishri described the statements of Khalifa Hafter regarding the elections and Tripoli as being negative.

Al-Mishri pointed out during his meeting with the Russian Ambassador to Libya Ivan Molotkov to Hafter's statements, in which he threatened to deny recognition to any upcoming election results and his intention to abort them militarily and to attack Tripoli.

Al-Mishri also referred to what he described as the negative impact of printing the Libyan currency in Russia on the economic situation in the country, stressing that all dealings must be with the legitimate institutions emanating from the political agreement.
