The President of the High Council of State (HCS), Khalid Al-Mishri, called on the Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Aqila Saleh, to agree to hold a meeting in Tobruk, leaving the presidency of the parliament to freely determine the date for the meeting.

In a letter addressed to Aqila Saleh, Al-Mishri said that the visit aims to seek possible consensus and to reach practical and fruitful solutions, pointing out that he will be on the head of the delegation, which will consist of 30 HCS members.

He insisted that the outcomes of this meeting will be more successful than its predecessors in narrowing the gap between the two councils, praising what he called the keenness of Aqila Saleh to end the division among political parties in Libya.
