The President of the High Council of State, Abdulrahman Al-Suwaheli, received on Sunday British Ambassador to Libya Frank Baker at the Council's headquarters in Tripoli.

According to the Information Office of Al-Suwaheli, Baker expressed on behalf of UK Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson, his pleasure for his safety after escaping an attack during his visit to the mountain region, stressing the United Kingdom's condemnation of all acts of violence that fuels the conflict and undermines dialogue and peace efforts.

The meeting discussed the political process in Libya and reviewed the developments of the UN action plan.

The British ambassador confirmed his country's support to bring Libyan parties together at the negotiating table and dialogue to find common grounds for amending the political agreement and to go forward with the rest of the democratic entitlements.
