The member of the High Council of State (HCS) Abdelrahman Al-Shatir said the Libyan Political Agreement (LPA) is “in clinical death positions” and it will end before the end of 2018, saying on Twitter Monday, after a meeting with the Italian and French ambassadors to Libya, that the EU is not serious in tackling the Libyan crisis and only rushes to issue “negative statements.”

He also said that he had urged the two ambassadors to hold a meeting for the two parties of the conflict to end the current dilemma.

Al-Shatir urged earlier the UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame, to invite the Heads of the HCS and House of Representatives’ dialogue committees to a meeting for deciding the fate of the country and a way out of the crisis as per the LPA.
