The High Council of State (HCS) has condemned the closure of the oil fields and ports, calling for their immediate reopening and to keep the wealth of Libyans away from any political disputes.

In a statement on Monday, the HCS called on the Attorney General to assume his responsibilities and take the measures stipulated in the legislation in force to prosecute those responsible for these crimes.

The closure of the fields comes within the framework of political blackmail to obtain financial and political gains for those who control the oil under the slogan of achieving justice in the distribution of wealth, the statement added, recalling the previous closures that cost the state billions of dollars.
