Lebanese Justice Minister Salim Jreissati requested the judiciary authorities in his country to look into the file of Hannibal, the son of Muammar Gaddafi, held in Lebanon, and to make sure that there are no irregularities in his case.

The request of the Lebanese minister came after receiving a note from the International Commission on Human Rights in Geneva concerning his status, according to Russia Today website.

Hannibal was arrested in Lebanon in late 2015 when came from Syria. He was charged with hiding information regarding the case of the disappearance of Shi'ite cleric Musa Al-Sadr in Libya in 1978.
