Spokesman for Haftar, Ahmed Al-Mismari has threatened to shoot down any civilian or military aircraft taking off from Mitiga Airport.
This came in a press conference held yesterday in Benghazi, where he warned that "this will be the last warning".
"Our forces will activate the no-fly zone from Gharyan to East Tarhouna and to the beaches of Tripoli," he went on.
He reaffirmed that the ban will include military and civil aviation, justifying his decision that the airport has become "a base for Turkish forces," as he put it.
