Spokesperson for Haftar, Ahmed Al-Mismari, said that the no-fly-zone that he previously announced in the western region is to expand and include Mitiga Airport in Tripoli, starting from Wednesday evening.
He threatened civil aviation companies that their planes would be targeted in the event they do not abide by his decision.
Haftar's militias announced earlier a flight ban over Greater Tripoli area, but claimed to have excluded Mitiga Airport from the ban.
